THE BROTHER OF THE SUPREME LEADER
PART ONE: THE SHADOW OF POWER
The city of Qom sprawled beneath the grey Iranian sky, its golden domes and minarets piercing the horizon like fingers reaching toward heaven. In a modest but comfortable home near the holy shrine of Fatima Masumeh, Mohsen Khamenei sat in his study, surrounded by thousands of books—Islamic theology, jurisprudence, philosophy, and history. He was a scholar, a man of learning and devotion. But more than that, he was the brother of the Supreme Leader.
For decades, Mohsen had lived in the shadow of his older brother, Ali Khamenei. While Ali had risen to the highest position of power in the Islamic Republic, Mohsen had served quietly as a scholar and advisor within the religious establishment. He had been deeply devoted to Shia Islam, believing with all his heart that the revolution was divinely ordained and that his brother was the rightful guardian of the faith.
“Our revolution is sacred,” he would tell his students. “It is the fulfillment of prophecy, the establishment of God’s rule on earth. We must defend it with our lives.”
He had helped draft policies to suppress the growing influence of Christianity, warning his brother many times about the “threat” of underground house churches. He had advised on interrogations, arrests, and punishments. He had believed he was protecting the revolution and the pure teachings of Islam.
But behind the scholar’s robes and the advisor’s confidence, a quiet emptiness had begun to grow.

### PART TWO: THE SEED OF DOUBT
It started with a small act of kindness—a trusted friend, a fellow scholar who had recently returned from a trip to Europe. The friend had been different, quieter, filled with a peace that Mohsen couldn’t explain.
“You seem different,” Mohsen said one day. “What happened to you over there?”
The friend was silent for a long moment. Then he said, “Mohsen, I want to share something with you. Something I’ve never told anyone. But I trust you.”
“What is it?”
“I found Jesus,” the friend said softly. “I know how that sounds. I know what it means. But I couldn’t deny what I experienced. He’s real, Mohsen. He’s more real than anything I’ve ever known.”
Mohsen was stunned. “You’ve become a Christian?” he said, his voice sharp with disbelief. “After everything we’ve fought for? After everything we believe?”
“I didn’t become anything,” the friend said. “I just realized what was already true. Jesus is the Son of God. He died for our sins. He rose again. And He wants to save us. All of us. Even you, Mohsen.”
Mohsen shook his head. “This is madness. You’re risking everything. Your position, your family, your life.”
“I know,” the friend said. “But I couldn’t go back to pretending. The truth set me free.”
The words haunted Mohsen for weeks. He couldn’t stop thinking about what his friend had said. He found himself drawn to the Bible, curious about the book he had been taught to despise.
One night, unable to resist any longer, he picked up a copy his friend had secretly given him. He opened it to the Gospel of Matthew and began to read.

### PART THREE: THE BURNING WORD
The words were unlike anything Mohsen had ever encountered. The Quran was a book of laws, of divine commands, of rules to be followed. But the Bible was a book of love—a story of a God who had become human, who had walked among His people, who had suffered and died for them.
He read about the birth of Jesus, the miracles he performed, the crowds who followed him. He read his Sermon on the Mount, his words about love and forgiveness and grace. And he read about his death—the sacrifice of a man who was innocent, who had done nothing wrong, who had been crucified for the sins of others.
“Why would he do this?” he whispered. “Why would anyone suffer like this for people who didn’t deserve it?”
And then he read about his resurrection.
The words leaped off the page: “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”
Mohsen felt the emptiness inside him begin to fill—with hope, with joy, with love. He felt the presence of God in a way he had never experienced before.
One night, alone in his study, he fell to his knees.
“Jesus,” he prayed, his voice trembling, “I don’t fully understand who You are. I was raised to believe You were just a prophet. But when I read Your words, I feel something different. I feel Your love. I feel Your presence. Please show me the truth. Please show me who You really are.”
The warmth filled the room, and Mohsen felt a gentle, loving presence surround him. He knew—he knew—that it was Jesus.
“I believe,” he whispered. “I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins. I believe You rose again. Please forgive me, Jesus. Please save me. Please give me new life.”
The joy that flooded his heart was overwhelming. He wept, he laughed, he praised the God who had found him in the darkness.

### PART FOUR: THE WARNING
Mohsen’s transformation was immediate and profound. The emptiness he had carried for decades disappeared. He began to see his brother’s regime and the religious system he had defended in a new light. He saw the persecution of Christians not as protection of the faith, but as persecution of the truth.
He knew the danger. As the brother of the Supreme Leader, his conversion was not just personal—it was a direct challenge to the entire system. But he couldn’t stay silent.
He requested a private meeting with his brother. Ali Khamenei, the most powerful man in Iran, sat behind his desk, his face stern and unreadable.
“Mohsen,” he said, “you look troubled. What is it? What’s happened?”
Mohsen took a deep breath. “Ali, I need to tell you something. Something that will be hard to hear. Something that may change everything between us.”
Ali’s eyes narrowed. “Speak.”
“Ali, I have found the true God,” Mohsen said, his voice steady. “I have found Jesus. He is not just a prophet. He is the Son of God. He is the Savior. I have surrendered my life to Him. And I beg you—I beg you—to surrender to Him before it is too late.”
Ali stared at him, his face pale with shock. “You’ve… you’ve become a Christian?” he said, his voice barely a whisper.
“Yes,” Mohsen said. “I know what this means. I know what it costs. But I can’t deny what I’ve experienced. Jesus is real. And He wants to save you too.”
Ali’s face contorted with fury. “You have betrayed me!” he shouted, rising from his seat. “You have betrayed the revolution! You have betrayed everything we fought for! You are a traitor!”
“I’m not a traitor, Ali,” Mohsen said gently. “I’m a man who finally found the truth. And I’m warning you, as your brother, as someone who loves you—the truth will set you free. Jesus will set you free. Please, Ali. Please listen.”
“You are no longer my brother,” Ali said coldly. “You are an enemy of the state. Guards! Take him away!”

### PART FIVE: THE INTERROGATION
Mohsen was placed under house arrest, his movements restricted, his communications monitored. But even in confinement, he continued to pray and to read his Bible.
“The Lord is my shepherd,” he whispered. “I shall not want.”
One night, he was taken to a secret facility for interrogation. The room was cold and bare, lit by a single fluorescent light. Three men sat across from him, their faces hard and unyielding.
“Mohsen Khamenei,” the lead interrogator said, “you are charged with apostasy, treason, and attempting to subvert the Islamic Republic. You have betrayed your family, your faith, and your country. What do you have to say for yourself?”
Mohsen looked at them with peace in his eyes. “I have nothing to say for myself,” he said. “But I have something to say for Jesus. He is the Son of God. He died for our sins. He rose again. And He wants to save you too.”
The interrogators laughed. “You’re insane,” one of them said. “You’ve lost your mind.”
“On the contrary,” Mohsen said. “I’ve found it. I’ve found the truth. And no amount of threats or torture will make me deny it.”
The lead interrogator stood up, his face twisted with rage. “We’ll see about that.”
But as he advanced toward Mohsen, the room was suddenly filled with a brilliant light—so bright that the interrogators were blinded. They stumbled backward, shielding their eyes, confused and terrified.
A voice spoke—gentle but powerful: “No one will harm this man. He belongs to Me.”
When the light faded, Mohsen was gone.

### PART SIX: THE ESCAPE
Mohsen escaped Iran with the help of underground believers who had been praying for him. They smuggled him across the border, through dangerous terrain, into a neighboring country. From there, he made his way to safety.
His testimony was recorded and went viral across Persian-speaking communities worldwide. Millions watched as the brother of the Supreme Leader shared how he had found Jesus and now warned his brother to surrender to the true King.
“I warned him,” Mohsen said in the video. “I warned Ali Khamenei that Jesus is real. I told him that He is the only way. And I will keep warning the world.”
The video spread like wildfire. It was viewed by millions, shared by thousands, and discussed by people across the globe.
“I was the brother of the Supreme Leader,” Mohsen said. “I was a scholar, an advisor, a defender of the regime. But I was empty. I was lost. I was blind. And then Jesus found me. He opened my eyes. He filled my emptiness. He saved my soul.”

### PART SEVEN: THE NEW MISSION
Today, Mohsen lives in safety and continues to speak boldly. He ministers to Persian-speaking communities around the world, sharing the love of Jesus with anyone who will listen.
“I pray daily for my brother,” he says. “I pray that Ali will surrender to Jesus before it’s too late. I pray that the same love that saved me will save him. I pray that the Iranian people will experience the freedom of knowing the truth.”
He holds up his Bible. “This is the book that changed everything,” he says. “These are the words of the God who loves us. And I will never stop sharing them.”
Many Iranians have come to faith after hearing his testimony. His story has inspired thousands to seek the truth, to question the system, and to surrender their lives to Jesus.
“Jesus is real,” Mohsen says. “He is the only way. And no power on earth can stop His love.”

### EPILOGUE: THE BROTHER’S PRAYER
Mohsen stands on the balcony of his small home, looking out at the city below. The sun is setting, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. He thinks about his brother, Ali, the most powerful man in Iran—and the most lost.
He folds his hands and bows his head.
“Lord Jesus, thank you for saving me. Thank you for finding me in my darkness. Thank you for giving me the courage to speak the truth. I was the brother of the Supreme Leader, but I became Your servant. I was lost, but You found me.”
“I pray for my brother, Lord. I pray for Ali. He is blinded by power, deceived by the system, trapped in his own pride. Please open his eyes, Lord. Please show him the truth. Please save him, just as You saved me.”
“I pray for the Iranian people, Lord. I pray for the millions who are searching for truth. Bring them to Yourself, Lord. Use my testimony to lead them to You.”
“I love You, Jesus. I will serve You for the rest of my life. I will keep warning the world: Jesus is real. He is the only way. And no power on earth can stop His love.”
He opens his eyes and looks at the sky. The stars are beginning to appear, pinpricks of light in the gathering darkness.
Mohsen smiles. He has come so far—from power to humility, from deception to truth, from darkness to light.
The brother of the Supreme Leader found Jesus.
And now he warns his brother—and the world—to surrender to the true King.
