THE GRAND AYATOLLAH’S WARNING
PART ONE: THE DEFENDER OF THE FAITH
The holy city of Qom sprawled beneath the grey Iranian sky, its golden domes and minarets piercing the horizon like fingers reaching toward heaven. In the most prestigious seminary, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Montazeri sat in his study, surrounded by thousands of books—Islamic theology, jurisprudence, philosophy, and history. He was one of the most senior Shia clerics in Iran, a close advisor to the Supreme Leader, and a respected voice in the religious establishment.
For over forty years, Montazeri had dedicated his life to defending the Islamic Revolution. He issued fatwas, taught in the holy seminaries, and warned the Iranian people against the dangers of Western Christianity and apostasy. He believed with all his heart that Shia Islam was the true path and that he was serving Allah by protecting it.
“Our revolution is sacred,” he would tell his students. “It is the fulfillment of prophecy, the establishment of God’s rule on earth. We must defend it with our lives.”
His students respected him. His colleagues admired him. The Supreme Leader trusted him.
But behind the scholar’s robes and the cleric’s authority, Montazeri was dying.

### PART TWO: THE DYING MAN
The heart condition had been growing worse for years. The doctors in Tehran had done everything they could, but nothing worked. The pain was constant, a crushing weight on his chest that made it difficult to breathe. He had been given only weeks to live.
“Grand Ayatollah,” the doctor said gently, “there is nothing more we can do. Your heart is failing. We can only make you comfortable.”
Montazeri nodded, his face calm but his heart filled with fear. He had spent his life teaching others about the afterlife, about the judgment that awaited all souls. But now that death was approaching, he was terrified.
He had done everything right. He had prayed, fasted, taught, and defended the faith. But he had no peace. No assurance. No certainty.
“Allah,” he prayed one night, his voice barely a whisper, “I have served You my entire life. I have defended Your faith. I have taught Your word. But I have no peace. I don’t know if I’m ready to meet You. Please have mercy on me.”
The silence was deafening.

### PART THREE: THE NIGHT EVERYTHING CHANGED
It was the darkest night of Montazeri’s life. He lay in his bed, struggling to breathe, the pain in his chest unbearable. His family was gathered around him, their faces filled with grief. The doctors had said he wouldn’t make it through the night.
He closed his eyes, preparing to meet his Creator.
And then, the light came.
It filled the room with a radiance so bright that Montazeri had to shield his eyes. The warmth that accompanied it was overwhelming, a love so pure and intense that he felt his heart crack open.
Standing before him was a man—a man of such radiant beauty that he could barely look at Him. He was dressed in white robes that seemed to be woven from pure light. His face was kind and gentle, His eyes filled with infinite love and compassion.
“Mohammad Reza,” He said, His voice like music, “I am Jesus. I am not just a prophet. I am the Son of God, the Savior of the world. I have come to save you and your nation. Iran belongs to Me. A great awakening is coming. Many will turn to Me in the days ahead. Warn them. Tell them to surrender to Me before it is too late.”
Montazeri fell to his knees, weeping. “I don’t understand,” he sobbed. “I’ve spent my whole life fighting against You. I taught that You were just a prophet. I defended the Islamic Republic against Your followers. How can You love me?”
Jesus stepped closer and placed a hand on his chest. The touch was warm and powerful. “I love you because I am love,” He said. “I love you not because you deserve it, but because I am merciful. I died for your sins. I rose again. I want to save you, Mohammad Reza. Will you let Me?”
Montazeri looked into Jesus’ eyes and felt the weight of his sins lifted from his shoulders.
“Yes,” he whispered. “Yes, I believe. I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died for my sins. I believe You rose again. Please forgive me, Jesus. Please save me. Please make me new.”
The warmth filled him, and Montazeri felt the peace he had been searching for his entire life.

### PART FOUR: THE MIRACULOUS HEALING
The next morning, Montazeri woke to a world that was different. The pain in his chest was gone. He felt stronger, healthier, more alive than he had in years.
The doctors rushed in to examine him, their faces filled with shock.
“Grand Ayatollah,” the lead doctor said, shaking his head in disbelief, “this is impossible. Your heart condition is gone. There is no medical explanation. You’re completely healed.”
Montazeri smiled. “It wasn’t medicine,” he said. “It was Jesus. He appeared to me last night. He healed me.”
The doctors stared at him, confused and alarmed. “Jesus?” one of them asked.
“Jesus,” Montazeri repeated. “He is the Son of God. He is the Savior. And He saved me.”

### PART FIVE: THE SECRET WITNESS
Montazeri began to speak privately with trusted students and fellow clerics. He told them what he had seen and experienced. Some called him mad. Others listened in secret.
“Grand Ayatollah,” one of his students said, “you’re risking everything. If the Supreme Leader finds out about this—”
“I know,” Montazeri said. “But I can’t stay silent. Jesus appeared to me. He healed me. He gave me a message for the Iranian people. I have to warn them.”
When word reached the highest levels, Montazeri was placed under house arrest. His movements were restricted. His communications were monitored.
But he could not stay silent.

### PART SIX: THE VIRAL TESTIMONY
Montazeri recorded his testimony. In it, he warned the Iranian people:
“Jesus is appearing to many across Iran. He is the true Savior. The system we have built is not from God. A great shaking is coming. Surrender to Jesus before it is too late.”
The video went viral. Panic spread through Tehran and Qom. The regime tried desperately to suppress it, calling it a Western conspiracy. But millions had already seen it.
“I was one of the most senior Shia clerics in Iran,” Montazeri said. “I spent forty years defending the Islamic Revolution. But I was wrong. I was lost. I was blind. And then Jesus found me.”
He held up his Bible. “This is the book that changed everything,” he said. “These are the words of the God who loves us. And I will never stop sharing them.”

### PART SEVEN: THE NEW LIFE
Today, Montazeri lives in safety outside Iran. He continues to speak boldly, warning the Iranian people that Jesus is coming to take over Iran—not through politics, but through His Spirit and love.
“Many former clerics, Revolutionary Guards, and ordinary Iranians have come to faith after hearing my testimony,” he says. “The Grand Ayatollah who once defended the Islamic Republic now warns his people that Jesus is coming.”
He pauses, his eyes filled with tears.
“Jesus met me when I was dying. He healed me. And He gave me a warning I cannot stop sharing. Iran will belong to Jesus. The awakening has already begun.”

### EPILOGUE: THE AYATOLLAH’S PRAYER
Montazeri stands on the balcony of his small home, looking out at the city below. The sun is setting, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. He thinks about the night Jesus appeared to him, the healing, the warning—and the God who saved him.
He folds his hands and bows his head.
“Lord Jesus, thank you for saving me. Thank you for healing me. Thank you for giving me a warning to share. I was the defender of a false system, but You made me a witness to the truth.”
“I pray for the Iranian people, Lord. I pray for the millions who are still in darkness. Open their eyes, Lord. Show them the truth. Bring them to Yourself.”
“I pray for the clerics who are still teaching lies, Lord. Forgive them. Just as You forgave me. Save them. Just as You saved me.”
“I pray for the regime, Lord. I pray for the leaders who are resisting You. Show them Your power, Lord. Bring them to their knees. Save them, Lord. Just as You saved me.”
“I love You, Jesus. I will serve You for the rest of my life. I will keep warning the world: Iran will belong to Jesus. The awakening has already begun.”
He opens his eyes and looks at the sky. The stars are beginning to appear, pinpricks of light in the gathering darkness.
Montazeri smiles. He has come so far—from defender to witness, from darkness to light, from death to life.
The Grand Ayatollah met Jesus.
And now he warns the world: Iran will belong to Jesus.
